Terms of service

These Terms govern your use of AFEND, the ISO/IEC 27001 readiness platform operated by SodaSoft. By creating a workspace you accept them.

1. Who we are

AFEND is an ISMS readiness platform operated by SodaSoft (the "Company", "we", "us"). Our registered contact address is provided on request via ratomir@ratomir.com.

AFEND is a readiness platform, not a certification body. We do not issue ISO/IEC 27001 certificates. Certification is performed by accredited third-party auditors; AFEND helps you prepare the evidence an auditor expects.

2. Account and workspace

To use AFEND you create an account bound to your work email and one or more workspaces. Each workspace represents one company or one engagement. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit.

You are responsible for maintaining control over your email inbox, since magic-link sign-in relies on it. If you lose access, contact us and we will verify ownership through documented channels.

3. Trial and paid plans

Eligible plans may include a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start a trial. If you choose to subscribe, billing is managed by Stripe and governed by the pricing displayed at the point of checkout.

You can cancel or downgrade at any time from the self-service billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue pro-rated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations except where required by law.

4. Your content and data

Everything you upload to AFEND - scope statements, risk registers, policies, evidence files, audit findings, management review minutes - remains your property. You grant us the minimum rights necessary to store it, render it, and make it available to the members you invite.

We do not use your workspace content to train machine learning models and we do not sell it to third parties. Processing is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use AFEND to store unlawful content, probe or test the platform without authorization, interfere with other customers, or circumvent access controls. We may suspend or terminate workspaces that materially violate this section, with prior notice where feasible.

6. Availability and changes

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows are communicated on the status page when they are planned. We may add, remove, or change features; we will not remove features core to the readiness workflow without at least 30 days' notice.

7. Confidentiality

Each party agrees to protect the other's non-public information with at least the same care it uses for its own confidential information and in any case no less than a reasonable standard of care. Our obligations to you survive termination for the duration your data is stored with us.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AFEND's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Term and termination

These Terms are effective for as long as you have an active account. Either party may terminate at any time. On termination we will retain your workspace data for a grace period (typically 30 days) during which you can export the readiness pack, after which we will delete it.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved before the competent courts of Belgrade, except where mandatory consumer law specifies otherwise.
